SNL's Gift in a box
SNL made headlines today which I find to be a brilliant marketing move on behalf of NBC and Saturday Night Live. Playing on the surprise increase on viewership as a result of a YouTube upload and the recent YouTube/NBC deal, the SNL skit featuring a parody of boy band couple (one played by Justin Timberlake) jiving to a beat titled, "Special Treat in a box" or "Special Christmas Box" depending on your YouTube search, bleeped out words 16 times on the on air skit aired last Saturday. The skit wins my vote as one of their funniest skits.
(AJ, didn't you send me a link to that video like over 4 months ago?)
An uncensored version of the skit was released by NBC on NBC.com and on YouTube.com. It once again drove flocks of viewers onto its site and to YouTube driving SNL's exposure to the mass public once again.
Actually, if the Oracle of Gmail is to be believed, YOU were the one who's turned me onto this clip on 12.20.06.
Now I understand what Kat was talking about when she kept complaining about receiving a tiny gift in a large box. :)
