The Old Farmer's Almanac website can help you track down the location ID number required for these weather software. To get it, go to the page of the city you want and copy the last 8 digits of the URL in your browser. New York City would be USNY (United States New York) followed by a 4 digit numeric location ID, 0996 which would make it 'USNY0996'.
