Google Local is available (in Beta) for the Blackberry! Google Local is a service from Google that allows users to find places and businesses via the google map API. But with Berry411, some would wonder why they would require Google Local on their devices. The primary difference between Berry411 to that of Google Local is that Berry411 is web based while Google Local is a DL'able software.
For business searches, I prefer Berry411 with its additional features but Google Local appears to have better 'google mapping' for the blackberry even though Berry411 results displays a link directly to the associated google map. i.e., Google Local Beta allows the user an option to input, "Jadis, Lower East Side" in which it will display the top 9 listings accordingly via the google thumbtacks. By pressing 1-9 on your keypad, you get the map to centralize and display information for that listing. Berry411's setup is different thus depending on what you wish to search for, it's good to have both handy.
